Nature: Metal footbridge over Cork & Passage Railway line at Blackrock. Wooden platform with iron trellis approached by spiral staircases at each end.  Completed in Jul 1859.  Contractor: Kennedy, Hanover St, Cork. (Became known as the "Crinoline Bridge", because the dresses of ladies crossing it would often get snagged in its ironwork, particularly on the spiral staircases.)
