'Nominally…the architect was P[sic] J. Coakley..However, it is apparent that the real 'architect' was Fr. Zimmermann…Fr. Zimmerman may have fallen out with Coakley, as the completion plaque in the church names only Samuel Hynes as the architect.'. FS laid 6 May 1895; opened 14 Dec 1897. Builder: Stephen.J. Scully, Proby's Quay.. Seats and altar rails made by students.Stained glass by Watson, Youghal. |
