Nature: New bridge replacing early 18th-century bridge. Single cast-iron arch (by Rankin & Co., Liverpool) with stone abutments (built by Barry McMullen). Work supervised by Jerome J. Collins. Opened on St Patrick's Day, 1864. Cost £8,1500. (Replaced by Griffith's Bridge, 1961.)
