J.McC's plan selected 1857. Tenders invited Oct 1869.Church reopened 24 Aug 1871 and consecrated 21 Nov 1871. Contractor: Beckett. Eventual cost 'about £3,500'.

Nature:	New tower (?and other works). Vicarage removed allowing extension fo church by 40 feet. Gellery removed, windows lowered and 'fine' window put in at W end. Pews shortened and new aisle provided in nave. Stone reading desk(s) presented by WMM. Cost about £1600. New part of church to be opened on 1 May.
