Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of 4 Cavendish Row, Dublin, active in the 1930s. He can possibly be identified as the James Vincent McGrane who was born in north Dublin in April 1907 and the James V. McGrane who married in Rathdown, Co. Wicklow, in July 1938.(1)  In March 1934 McGrane advertised for tenders for erecting sixteen houses to his design in Griffith Avenue, Dublin, for the Christian Brothers' Past Pupils' Union Utility Society in February 1934,(2) and in 1938 he designed the Regent Cinema, Blackrock.(3)
