Architect or engineer, of Dublin. Aubrey Archer, who was born in 1912, was a son of Thomas Archer, who built up Archer Esates, a portfolio of rental properties in Dublin. Although he does not appear to have had a professional qualification as an architect, Aubrey Archer designed a number of houses for the company and for others. He evantually took over the running of the company, which had been incorporated in 1940 as Thomas & E.M. Archer Estates Ltd. He died in 1994.
A collection of drawings and documents relating to properties belonging to Archer Estates was donated to the Irish Architectural Archive in 2009 by Aubrey Archer's daughter, Dr Jean Archer (Acc. 2009/130).
