Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Firm of wood- and stonecarvers. of Cambridge, established by James Rattee (1820-1855) and George Kett (1809-1872).   After Kett's death the firm was carried on by his eldest son, also named George Kett, and was responsible for carving the oak choir stalls in Christ Church cathedral, Dublin, to designs by GEORGE EDMUND STREET  GEORGE EDMUND STREET during Street's restoration of 1871-1878.(1)  It also carved the diocesan throne, which was erected in April; 1881.(2)
