Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect and builder, of Tuam, Co. Galway, perhaps related to ANDREW EGAN.& ANDREW EGAN.& #160; Reporting on the new memorial to Thomas Bodkin in the town, the Tuam Herald for 30 Oct 1886, described Thomas Egan as 'an architect, a contractor and a master mason, who in several works in the town and neighbourhood, has given evidence of his great skill and eminence in his trade'.  According to the same report, Egan was the contractor for the town hall in Tuam and for the Catholic church at Mountbellew, Co. Galway.
