English sculptor, for whom see Oxford DNB.  Thornycroft is represented in Ireland by his statue of William Conyngham, fourth Baron Plunkett, in Kildare Place, Dublin, and by his statue of Sir Daniel Dixonin the grounds of City Hall, Belfast.(1)
