Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect or engineer who prepared two alternative proposals for a three-span cast-iron and masonry  bridge at Islandbridge, Dublin (Sarah Bridge),(1) to replace the previous bridge on the site, which was destroyed in a flood in 1787. 'Turnstall' - an uncommon form of the name 'Tunstall' - has not been identified', but Wilson's Dublin Directory for 1801 lists a  Michael Turnstall, stone and marble cutter, at 127 Townsend Street, Dublin.
