Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Dublin. James Wall trained in the offices of FRANK GIBNEY  FRANK GIBNEY (1933-1937), VINCENT KELLY  VINCENT KELLY (1938-1940), JOSEPH VINCENT DOWNES  JOSEPH VINCENT DOWNES (1940-1942). During the Second World War, from 1942 until 1945, he served with the Royal Engineers. After the war he practised privately as an architect in Dublin.

RIAI: elected member.
RIBA: passed special final examination, December 1947; elected associate, 1948.
