Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English amateur gardener, brother of Gertude Jekyll. Herbert Jekyll, who was private secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Robert, second Baron Houghton, from 1892 to 1895, made plans for the terrace at Abbey Leix, Co. Laois, for the fourth Viscount de Vesci, in 1893.(1)
