Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer to the Ironmongers' Company in Co. Derry from circa 1850 to 1881 or later. According to Curl, Selfridge was originally appointed as an 'Agriculturalist' following the death of the Company's agent, Edward Oseland.(1) His pupils and assistants included THOMAS W. LAMON. THOMAS W. LAMON. (2) He died on 10 October 1883 at the age of fifty-six and was buried in the churchyard of Agahadowey Church of Ireland parish church, together with his wife Margaret (d.1910) and seven of their children.(3)
