Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Builder?, of Larne, Co. Antrim. John Hegarty, who was a JP for Co. Antrim in the opening years of the twentieth century, may have been connected with the building firm of Hegarty & Gault, of Ballymena and Larne.(1) In 1910 he prepared plans for a new hotel in Main Street, Larne, to replace one which had been destroyed by fire. The design incorporated a concert hall.(2)
