Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect with the Board of Public Works and later with the Northern Ireland Ministry of Finance. Milford Wright, son of James Wright and Hannah Crawford, was born in Belfast on 16 April 1875(1) and entered the survice of the Board of Public Works as an assistant surveyor on 23 October 1899.(2) He worked for the Board of Public Works in Belfast until partition, when he transferred to the Works Division of the Northern Ireland Ministry of Finance. He was district architect in Omagh in 1932(3) and had died or retired by 1939.  At the time of the 1911 census he had been married for twelve years bu thad no children.
