Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Monaghan town, active from 1898 or earlier until 1917 or later.   According to  his 1911 census return, John Wilson was born in Co. Tipperary in 1853 or 1854. He had settled in Monaghan by 1898, the year his name appears in the list of subscribers to The Principles and Practice of Modern House-Construction (London, 1898), edited by George Lister Sutcliffe.(1)  At the time of the 1911 census, he had been married for eleven years and had two children.
