Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Belfast.   According to his 1911 census return, Basil Wilson was born in Belfast in 1845 or 1846.  In the return he states that he was a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers;  however he does not appear in the 1912 membership list of that body.  Nothing of his career is recorded in the Irish Builder apart from the fact that in 1906 he designed an addition to the Co. Antrim Lunatic Asylum.(1)  At the time of the 1911 census he had been married for thirty-seven years to his wife, Elizabeth, and had two children.

Address: Malone Road, Belfast, 1906;  49 Malone Road, 1911.
