Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of 41 Mortimer Street, London, who exhibited a 'Design for an entrance front to the Bank of Ireland from Foster Place, Dublin' at the Royal Academy in 1804 (No. 857). He is possibly the same person as Thomas Willson (born c.1780), also an exhibitor at the Royal Academy, for whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (3rd edn., 1995), 1062, and also perhaps as the Thomas Wilson who in 1805, according to Casey, made a proposal for an iron bridge to replace Ormond Bridge, Dublin, which had collapsed in 1802.(1)
