Builder, possibly from the Carlow area,(1) who prepared plans and estimates for an Erasmus Smith school in the parish of Dysert, Co. Kilkenny(?) in 1812.(2)
(1) www.familysearch.org lists a number of persons of this name from places in the NW of Co. Carlow (Tullowcreen, Dunleckny, Old Leighlin, Stapletown).
(2) Plan and estimate among designs for Erasmus Smith Schools in the High School, Danum, Rathgar, Dublin; the drawing is inscribed 'Dysert/Coon'. There are several parishes named Dysert or Dysart in Ireland, but the one in Kilkenny which includes two townlands named East and West Coan seems the most likely.
