Architectural partnership, of London, formed in 1905 between Septimus Warwick and Herbert Austen Hall, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 819, and II, 922. In Ireland Warwick & Hall were employed by Captain Arthur Tilson Magan in 1907 prepare designs 'in the English manner' for the reconstruction of Killyon Manor, Co. Meath,(1) some eighteen miles or so from Mullingar, which Magan purchased from the family estates at about this time;(2) The ballroom of the old house was to be preserved and form the longitudinal axis of the new house. The design was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1907 (No. 1536). The expected cost of the project was £40,000 and it was not carried out. Soon afterwards, Warwick & Hall extended and remodelled the gamekeeper's lodge at Killyon for Captain Magan.(3)
