Marble sculptors, of Bologna, Italy, active circa 1900. The Venturi were among several Italian craftsmen employed on the renovation and completion of the interior of St Patrick's Catholic Cathedral, Armagh, during the first four years of the twentieth century. The work was initiated by Cardinal Logue, who raised £30,000 in 1899-1900, and executed under the direction of ASHLIN & COLEMAN . The Venturi were responsible for carrying out the choir screens, the Cardinal's throne, the organ gallery front, the altar railings and altar pavements.(2)
