Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Railway engineer. John Stokes was employed as an engineer during the 1860s and 1870s by the Dundalk & Enniskillen Railway which became the Irish North Western Railway in 1862. He was resident engineer from 1861 or earlier until 1863 or later and engineer-in-chief from 1868 or earlier until 1872 or later.(1)
