Civil engineer, active from the 1920s until the 1940s or later. Alma Kingsley Sargent , who was born in Co. Kildare in 1895, attended Kilkenny College and studied engineering at Trinity College, Dublin, graduating with the BAI degree in 1920. In the early 1930s he was appointed town surveyor of Naas, Co. Kildare, in succession to RICHARD HENRY CHAPMAN HALL RICHARD HENRY CHAPMAN HALL , but he had been replaced in the post by HUGH HACKETT HUGH HACKETT by 1939. He was also engineer to the Newbridge (Co. Kildare) Town Commissioners. He died in 1965.
The Irish Architectural Archive holds a collection of drawings from Sargent's office, presented by his daughter, Mrs Reg Redmond (Acc. 83/51).
