Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Assistant county surveyor for Co. Mayo.  According to his 1911 census return, P.D. O'Malley was born in Co. Galway in 1864 or 1865.   He had been appointed an assistant county surveyor for Co. Mayo, based in Belmullet, by 1907 and was appointed architect for the Belmullet labourers' cottage scheme in that year.(1)   At the time of the 1911 census he had been married for fourteen years to his Co. Galway-born wife, Margaret, and had four children.
