Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Town surveyor, of Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, and an assistant county surveyor for Co. Donegal. Michael O'Callaghan held both positions from 1900 or earlier.(1) In 1906 he was appointed engineer for a labourers' cottage scheme at Glenties, Co. Donegal.(2) He was still an assistant county surveyor in 1922 but had been replaced by Michael Dawson as town surveyor by this date. He was a justice of the peace for Co. Donegal in 1915 but had ceased to be one by 1922.
