NAGLE, EDWARD P.

Architect and engineer, of Dublin, active from the late 1850s until the 1870s. Edward P. Nagle had established himself at 192 Great Brunswick Street, Dublin, by 1863; by 1871 he had moved to 19 Hardwicke Street, where he remained until 1875.(1) He drew views of Athlunkard House, Co. Clare, and Fanningstown Castle, Co. Limerick, for inclusion in the advertisement for the sale of the properties under the direction of the Landed Estates Court on 10 July 1860.(2) He is presumably the Mr Nagle who designed the front of the Prince of Wales Hotel, Sackville Street, Dublin, in the same year,(3) and is probably the Mr NAGLE  NAGLE (q.v.) who had been active in Limerick in the 1850s.
