Architect, of Manchester, active from 1899 until 1926, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), II, 221. In 1907 Sydney Moss won first prize in the competition sponsored by the Local Government Board for Ireland for designs for labourers' cottages 'adapted to the particular needs of the Irish labourer and planned in accordance with the most recent ideas prevailing in connection with the carrying out of the Housing Problem'.(1)
