Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

'Architect and CE', of Dublin. Frederick James Macaulay, who was born in Newcastle-on-Tyne circa 1869, worked for many years in the office of ALBERT EDWARD MURRAY ALBERT EDWARD MURRAY . By the time of the 1911 census he had married Alice Maud Smith from Co. Wicklow and had an eight-year-old daughter.  In 1918 or 1919 he set up his own practice at 29 Molesworth Street, moving to 24 Nassau Street by 1925. According to Thom's directories he continued to practise from this address until 1947.
