Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Director of barrack construction in the British War Office, 1904-1915, and FRIBA, for whom see Who Was Who (1929-1940), 926, and Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), II, 162. As architect to the Rowton working men's hostels in London, he gave advice on the design of Iveagh House working men's hostel in Dublin, which was based on the Rowton prototype,(1)  In hs capacity as director of barrack construction, he designed a new ward block and boiler house at the military hospital, Arbour Hill, Dublin, in 1909.(2)
