Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English theatre architect, of London, for whom see A. Stuart Gray, Edwardian Architecture (1985), 257, and Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), II, 147. In Ireland Matcham designed the Grand Opera House, Belfast, in 1894-5(1) and converted the Leinster Hall, Hawkins Street, Dublin, into the Theatre Royal, in 1896-7.(2)
