Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English engineer, specializing in water works, for whom see Oxford DNB. Bateman was involved in the construction of the Bann Reservoirs, Co. Down, circa 1836-1847 and designed the Rathmines waterworks at Clondalkin, Co. Dublin, opened 1863.(1)
