Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Landscape architect, active in the second quarter of the eighteenth century. Andrew Magill placed the following advertisement in Faulkner's Dublin Journal for 2-6 November 1742: 'Andrew Magill, Gardener, from Scotland, late in the service of Lord Viscount Hillsborough, undertakes Surveying, Drawing and laying out of grounds for gardening, water and wood work, the propagation and management of Fruit and Forest trees, &c. &c.'
