Samuel Ferres Lynn was a younger brother of WILLIAM HENRY LYNN WILLIAM HENRY LYNN . He is said to have originally intended to become an architect and to have been a pupil, like his brother, of CHARLES LANYON. CHARLES LANYON. While he was working in Lanyon's office, he attended the Belfast School of Art, where he was awarded prizes for modelling. He decided he wished to assistant of JOHN HENRY FOLEY JOHN HENRY FOLEY . He lived almost entirely in London until 1873, when he returned to Belfast. He died suddenly at William Henry Lynn's house in Crumlin Terrace, Belfast, aged only forty, on 5 April 1876.
