Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer. Henry Norman Leask, a son of ROBERT H. LEASK  ROBERT H. LEASK and elder brother of HAROLD GRAHAM LEASK HAROLD GRAHAM LEASK , was born on 9 November 1872. He served a four-year apprenticeship with his father during the years 1892-1895, also working for two years for the Dublin building contractor JOHN GOOD JOHN GOOD , and for two years in the office of GEORGE COPPINGER ASHLIN. D GEORGE COPPINGER ASHLIN. D uring this period he studied for and sat several exams at the College of Science. After four years on public works schemes in Ireland, in about 1900 he joined the staff of Heenan & Froude of Manchester, with whom he remained until at least 1914. The rest of his career appears to have been spent out of Ireland.
