Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

City overseer, alderman, and, in 1782, mayor of Cork,(1) active from circa 1770 until the late 1790s. Sober Kent was appointed overseer of public works in Cork on 15 May 1770. There are frequent references to him in the council book of Cork Corporation during the following two decades.(2)
