Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Land surveyor, of Dublin, active from the 1820s until the 1870s. From 1826 until 1862 Jones was employed by the Irish Boundary Survey and General Valuation Office.(1) He is described as 'civil engineer and sub-commissioner, Valuation of Ireland' in the directories from 1857 to 1874, but as 'CE' only in the Post Office Directory for 1875. He is possibly the same person as WILLIAM JONES [1]. WILLIAM JONES [1].
