Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of York, England, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 1036. In Ireland Jones designed Castle Oliver (alias Glenorthy Castle and Cloghanodfoy or Clonodfoy), Co. Limerick, for the Misses Elizabeth and Mary Isabella Gascoigne of Parlington, Yorkshire, in 1845.(1) He is presumably the 'John Fowler Jones' who entered the Clare County Court House competition in the same year.(2) JAMES RAWSON CARROLL  JAMES RAWSON CARROLL was one of his pupils.
