Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Ben (or Bon) Johnston was paid for a plan for Monivea church, Co. Galway, in 1761.(1) This is possibly the 'very pretty' church with a spire which the Rev. Daniel Augustus Beaufort saw when he visited Monivea in 1787.(2)
