Builder, of Dublin. George Thorp was probably a son of CHARLES THORP [1] CHARLES THORP [1] , whose address he shared between 1805 and 1808. He may be the George Thorp, son of Charles and Ann Thorp, who was christened at St Thomas's Church, Dublin on 11 December 1775.(1) He was admitted a freeman of the City of Dublin as a member of the Guild of Merchants by virtue of service at Michaelmas 1800(2) and elected a sheriff of the city for the year 1804-5.(3) He disappears from the directories after 1808.
