Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Carpenter, builder and architect, of Cork. Charles Hodnett is named as a carpenter in Cork City circa 1809-10.(1) He appears as an architect in Connor's Cork Directory for 1812 and 1817(2) and again in the 'Builders & Architects' section for Cork City in Pigot and Co.'s City of Dublin and Hibernian Provincial Directory (1824), with an address at 14 Mary Street, Cork.(3) In Slater's National Commercial Directory of Ireland (1846) an Edward Hodnett, builder, is listed at 15 Mary Street.
