APPELBE, HENRY EDWARD

Engineer, of Macroom, Co. Cork.  According to the 1911 census, Henry Edward Appelbe was born in Co. Cork in 1867 or 1868.   He had become town surveyor for Macroom and an assistant county surveyor when the census was taken and still held both posts in 1922.(1)   By 1932 he had been succeeded as town surveyor by JEREMIAH COLLINS  JEREMIAH COLLINS and was no longer an assistant county surveyor.  At the time of the census he had been married for thirteen years to his wfe, Elizabeth Annie, and had three children.
