Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Mechanical engineer, of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.  William Barton, who was born in Co. Monaghan in 1853 or 1854, designed improvements to the workhouse at Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, in 1909.(1) At the time of the 1911 census he had been married for twenty-nine years to his wife, Madeleine, and had five children.
