Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Borough surveyor for Waterford City from 1881 until his death in in March 1910 at the age of sixty-seven.(1)  He was survived by his wife, Kate, and five children,(2) his son JOHN JOSEPH FLEMING  JOHN JOSEPH FLEMING succeeding him as borough surveyor.(23  He was responsible for the Waterford main drainage scheme, for which JOSIAH CORBETT BRETLAND  JOSIAH CORBETT BRETLAND acted as consulting engineer and John Joseph Fleming as resident engineer.(4)
