Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architectural partnership, of Belfast, formed between THOMAS J. DUFF[1]  THOMAS J. DUFF[1] and THOMAS JACKSON THOMAS JACKSON . In 1829 Duff, who was based principally in Newry, engaged Jackson to run his office in Belfast; soon afterwards the two men became partners. The partnership was dissolved in 1835, when Jackson set up his own practice in Belfast.

Nature: Modify and supervise erection of building originally designed by John Millar, who acted as contractor though absent in London. Portico only designed and supervised by Millar on his return..

Nature: Additions to Georgian house at gates. Replaced ca1860 with gatehouse designed by Benjamin Ferrey.
