Carpenter and measurer, of Cork, active from the 1750s to the 1770s. Between 1755 and 1775 Dalton worked for Cork Corporation, his place being taken in 1776 by SAMUEL HOBBS . In 1756 he prepared plans for a new potato market in Cork, and in 1760 he was paid 'for attending the building of the Fowl and Fish Markets and measuring the Slaters', Masons', Stone cutters', Pavers' and painters' work at the same'. In 1772, he prepared plans for converting the fowl market into a flesh shambles.
