Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English architect of Staplehurst, Kent, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 556. Frederick Dovey exhibited two interior views of the new church at Ormond Quay, Dublin, at the Royal Academy in 1849.(1) He was described as of '4, Kingston Parade, London, and of Manchester' when he won second prize in the Middlesborough Workhouse competition in 1876.(2)
