Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Builder, of Townsend Street, Dublin.   Philip Dooley's name appears on a list of Dublin brick- and stone-layers who were active in business circa 1800, compiled by his fellow tradesmen in March 1834.    According to this source he built several houses in Townsend Street, Westland Row and Hawkins Street on his own account ;  at the time of his death, circa 1816, he was worth £300 per annum.   He was succeeded in business by his son PHILIP DOOLEY [2]. PHILIP DOOLEY [2].
