Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Belfast City Surveyor. David Davidson, who succeeded JAMES BELL[3]  JAMES BELL[3] as assistant city surveyor in 1938, was appointed city surveyor in 1946.(1) He remained in the position until 1952 or later, but by 1955 had been succeeded by J.E.F. Anderson.(2) The paper on sewage disposal in Belfast which he delivered to the Royal Sanitary Institute on 6 Nov 1947 was summarized in the Irish Builder later the same month.(3)
