Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Landscape gardener, of Dublin, active from the 1860s until the 1880s. Maurice Armor is listed as an engineer in the trades section of Thom's directories for 1864 and 1865 with an address at 189 Great Brunswick Street. His proposals for the garden at Stradbally Hall, Co. Laois, are signed and dated 'Maurice Armor, Booterstown, Dublin, 6 Sep 67'. He appears in the Post Office directories for 1874 and 1875 as 'C.E., landscape gardener and valuator' of 10 Charlemont Mall and in Thom's Official Directory for 1883 as 'landscape gardener and valuer of estates' of 9 Charlemont Mall. His drawings for the gardens of the glebe house at Enniskerry of 1876 give his address as 35 Mount Pleasant Square.
