Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Harry Jackson Crossley was born in England, probably in Liverpool, on 28 December 1887 and served a four-year pupilage from 1903 to 1907 with PATRICK JOSEPH PRENDERGAST PATRICK JOSEPH PRENDERGAST , county surveyor for the western division of Co. Galway. He was appointed town surveyor of Athlone in 1907 in succession to Prendergast, who had been holding the position concurrently with the county surveyorship.(1) In 1910 he was succeeded by VALENTINE DENIS DOYLE. VALENTINE DENIS DOYLE. (2)  In 1911, according to his census return, he was in practice as a civil engineer and architect in Tullamore, co. Offaly.
